She loved that it didn't sway like some other models, so it didn't wake her up at night while she was trying to comfort her baby for feeds. The Iora is a bassinet that can be placed at the bedside that helps parents feel connected to their infant as they sleep. It can be adjusted both up and down and moved to three different positions for sliding to be placed beside the parent's bed or in the corner, so the baby is always in reach. The mesh siding is breathable, allowing air to circulate through and allows you to glance at your little one. You can also store any extra pajamas or items in the large storage basket beneath.
As opposed to other bedside cribs Iora is a standout among other bedside cribs. Iora folds flat and comes with a bag for travel to allow it to be taken wherever. It was easy to move around from room to space, and our mum testers believed it was the right size for a bedside crib. The large storage basket is great to store extra bedding or nappies.
This is a great option for parents who want to sleep in a co-sleeping bed, but don't wish to share their bed. Also, if one of the partners has mobility issues, such as arthritis or back pain. Our mums who tested it loved the ease with which they could access their baby in the Iora and that it had an optional reflux incline that helped to reduce gas.
Our mothers also love the fact that it complies with NICE guidelines, which are to place the infant in the crib or Moses basket on its own (with no blankets, toys, pillows, etc). The mattress is also a good firm and comfortable for the baby, and sheets are readily available. It isn't as light as other smaller bedside cribs, though and if you're looking for something lighter and easier to move around with, consider one of the alternatives on our list.
